This review was during Ramadan so we were served Lassi and dates at first and then the juice.
Since it was ramadan they should have kept water with the rest coz not all of them would prefer dairy straight into an empty stomach...plus the staff was slow!!
I ordered for an orange juice which was warm ..so i had to request for ice...its a big No! No!!
No matter what happens none of the juice or Cocktails should be served warm unless and untill the customer requests for it! the same happened with the Pride affect ..it was warm which spoiled it!! the Godfather and Pina colada was nice..finally these two came with ice!!
we also didnt get the complimentary tray which includes pappad and chutney's...they missed it out!!
we loved the starters!! Malai Prawn was a big hit!! the ultimate crowd pleaser!! so its a must try if your their!! the Prawn Tinkae was delicious...served on sticks resting on an open iron shaped platter!! these two dishes were perfect to start with!!
The main course was nice... the hyderbadi gosht biryani was rich, meat perfectly cooked but was a bit on the heavy side...the gosht beli ram is a thick meat gravy dish which was a little sweet but complimented the rice!! Methai Malai Mutter was surprisingly good.. i love green peas but fenugreek leaves was something i didnt like at all...but in this dish it was really nice!!Lahori Seekh Kabab was just average..it was juicy and very well cooked but nothing special!! moving on to the Naan's it was the same as usuall!!
For desserts we had 6 Ras Malai...it was fresh and light..wasnt too sweet which was nice!! but there were mixed comments coz most of them didnt like it!!
Overall:
- Good Location - Beautiful interiors...love the colors (smoking & non- smoking available)
- Quality, Quantity, Taste and Presentation was good
- Delightful Ambience
- Menu -Good variety to choose from
- Staff was friendly but service was slow
- The food is pricy if your going in a big group but reasonable for two
By the end of the day we had loads of fun...good food and a great evening!!
Once again special thanks to Wasim for these delicious photographs !! :)

Taal is good better than Asha's for me!! but i wouldnt mind giving Asha's a 2nd chance!! :)
you should give it a try!! your review on Taal or Asha's would be exciting to read :)
Did you guys visit the same Taal as us? We went last night - butter chicken and tandoori zubaidi. The fish was just coated in a tandoori sauce and then baked - the sauce could be scraped off the fish and had not penetrated into it at all. It came with a separate bowl of red gravy, which tasted exactly like the gravy in the butter chicken - we figured out it was the same stuff. Worst of all, and this is no kidding, the gravy was nothing more than tomato soup, Campbell's brand judging by the taste. It was watery, totally devoid of any taste of spices (after asking for medium spicy, you could have fed this to the world's biggest spice hater - it tasted totally bland), and was just terrible. Taal - total rip off, and not even remotely genuine. KD 15 wasted - don't get ripped off too.
Anonymous: OMG!!! sounds like a nasty experience...i hate when this happens...
we didnt try their fish n the butter chicken!!!hmm... i guess every restaurant has its good n bad dishes... our last visit was not bad...we didnt have much complains with the food...must be a bad day for the head chef!!hopefully they'll improve on that soon!! :) i totally agree on it being pricy thou!!
Go Ahead, Say Something...
