The head chef and owner of Eighty6 Bristo is Ahmed Al Bader..
B and i were excited to dine in Eighty6 Bristo...we were looking forward to it!! i read really good reviews earlier so i had an idea of the menu. We sat on the chef's table but it wasnt the chef table night :( we were informed that he only does it twice a week.
It was quite inside coz no one was seated inside only and only us ...i liked it :) we had a wonderful very friendly hosts who guided us all the way.
The interiors were really Modern but at the same time warm and cozy perfect for a romantic date :) we really liked the preparation table attached to the counter and the DJ cage to the corner of the restaurant...
The menu had a good selection to choose from.
Our Order:
  • Get Me Up (orange infused drink) KD 1.750
  • 86 Quenchr (blue curacoa with mint) KD 1.750
  • Cheese Buger Spring rolls with tomato sauce KD 2.500

  • Ravioli Bites - Ravioli stuffed with 4 different types of mushrooms and ricotta parmesan topped with a touch of basil sauce to the side. KD 4.750

Total Cost : KD 16.700

Started off with their caramel popcorn which was really delicious!! we finished it asap..that was finger licking good :) The drinks were good but could have been better...the cheese buger spring rolls were delicious..it was like eating a cheese buger :) the chicken wings should have been a little on the spicy side but it was good..B prefer's it spicy thou :) my Ravioli bites were the best i have ever had..they were super delicious..i loved it!!compliments to the chef :)The chicken portobello pie was big in quantity B wanted more flavor to it and i agree but it was good...

Overall,
  • The quality, quantity, presentation and taste of the food was really good
  • The interiors were execellent with a good concept
  • Delightful Ambience
  • Awesome service- very energetic, informative and friendly staff

The Crepe Cafe

B and i got a magazine called Promo Plus which has coupons ..the magazine is just full of coupons ...we had the crepe cafe so we decided to go for it!!!
It was blowing that day...and there was only 2 people working at the Arraya Crepe Cafe..
Our Order:
  • Pain Perdu : French Toast with Sugar and cinnamon Sugar KD 0.900
  • One Farmhouse Crepe - Free
  • One Creme Dessert KD. 2.250
  • Small Bottle of Water KD 0.500

Total : KD 3.650

We enjoy Crepe Cafe but this time we didnt ...atleast not as much as we use to...Everything just went wrong!!

Problem was it was blowing so bad that all the food was cold by the time we ate it!

The waiter didnt get my order right ..i informed him to get the Farmhouse first and once im done to get the pain perdu but he got both of it together ... i was rushing to finish both that i didnt get much taste of anything..the Pain Perdu was bad..maybe coz it was cold!!

B was waiting for like 15mins for his Creme Dessert and once he got his i started attacking coz i was still hungry... The Creme Dessert didnt have any ice cream to the side nor whip cream.

It was bad!! hopefully we wont have to face this next time!!
