Choowy Goowy Restaurant at 52degrees

My Sister and i were invited for the menu tasting at the choowy goowy restaurant by Essa Behbehani...it was a pleasure to meet him...so energetic and passionate about food it was a delight to see him attending other customers as well as us which was very very impressive..!! it shows how much he cares for the customer feedback!!
we also got to meet the chef ..the creators behind all these yummlicious food!!
Our Order:

• Chipotle Caesar Salad KD 3.500
  (crisp romaine tossed in home made chipotle caesar dressing loaded with crunchy croutons and topped with crispy tortilla strips)
  
• Potato Volcano KD 2.000
  ( Mountain of cubed potatoes with a combination of spicy mayo and zesty sauces)


• Oven baked stuffed mushrooms KD 2.250
  White button Mushrooms stuffed with a blend of cheese and topped with crispy herb bread crumbs.


• Pink Pasta KD 3.500
  ( conchigliette pasta shells drenched in a creamy roasted tomato sauce drizzled with homemade basil oil)


• Burger KD 5.500
  ( Ground sirloin burger on homemade buttery bun topped with caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and melted cheese served with a side of fresh french fries. )


• Fish KD 6.500
  (Hammour) White Fish with lemon butter sauce side with sweet potato puree)


• The Ultimate Choowy goowy KD 3.500
  (Baked to order ,this gaint cookie dough is stuffed with kinder chocolate topped with custard vanilla bean ice cream)


• Creme Brulee KD 3.000
  (traditional french dessert vanilla bean custard topped with hard caramel)
  
• Warm Apple Pie a la mode KD 2.500
  (Apple Pie with a scoop of Vanilla bean ice cream)

Total Cost : around KD 32.250 ( complimentry)

Firstly, yes we did manage to eat all of this..although we did waste a little (apologies) but all this food was enough for my sister and i to explode...
we started off with the chipotle caesars salad...the dressing had a slight kick to it which was nice...the dressing wasnt too much and didnt kill the greens!!
Then came the Potato Volcano..super yummylicious..we loved it!! by the end of it we were scraping it off the plate...hehe!!
Oven Baked stuffed mushrooms had all that i love...cheese , mushrooms and herb...totally delicious! i totally loved it!!
The Pink Pasta was another hit!! the sauce was perfect with the pasta..
The fish was a surprise...i usually dont like my seafood to be sweet but this one was surprisingly good.. i loved the combination of soft hammour with sweet potato puree and the sauce..it was a win win for us!! i did tell Essa that i have mixed feelings about it but today im craving for it!!
The burger was good...i really liked the taste of the caramelized onion with the patty!! but i really enjoyed the french fries to the side...
then came the 3 deadly desserts...
the cookie dough was music...we totally loved it!! a spoonful of warm cookie dough with their vanilla bean ice cream was crazy yummylicious!! a must try!!
Creme brulee..the sugar was a bit burnt on top so it gave a slight bitter taste but other than that it was delicious....
last but not the least the bomb that hit us...was the apple pie ..i love it when apple is baked or cooked...when u break into the warm pie grabbing a spoonful of the cubed apples and a little of their vanilla bean ice cream ...yummmm....the apple is still juicy and bursts with flavours in your mouth!! loved it!!
The food was great, we totally enjoyed it!! from the salad to the dessert...
my sister is a tough cookie and she gave it a big thumbs up!!
A must try!! :)
