Hotel Missoni Kuwait - Luna Restaurant

This Ramadan my sister and I tried quite a few buffets but nothing compared to Luna .

We were invited by Wonderful Ms. Nikki (Restaurant Manager) for Iftar Buffet ... Luna offer freshly prepared dishes inspired by traditional classic Italian, Arabic-oriental and Mediterranean cuisine. It is on the 18th floor of the hotel and has a spectacular view of the Arabian Gulf.

The Cold mezza and salads were my favourite , I absolutely enjoyed it!! delicious variety...

The sushi station had California maki, sushi and nigiri with condiments, a cheese tray , seafood platter with crab sticks and salmon, Jumbo Prawns with cocktail sauce.

escalivada (marinated vegetables), tabbouleh, babaganoush, bean salad , chickpeas salad, Potato salad ,Tuna Salad, Savoury Sugar Snap Peas with sliced boiled eggs and sun dried tomatoes, anchovies and a lot more...

For the Main course we had Roast Beef, Cream Dory bouillabaisse, seafood bil bil, veg couscous, roasted potatoes in aioli oil dressing, jaresh, chicken biryani, lamb ouzi with daqoos and a live station for Shawarma's , Chinese and fried kebbe, spring rolls , samboosa and a few more...
We were also served a meat platter : Chicken tikka, shrimps, ribs, steak and kebab...

For dessert we had a selection of traditional Arabic sweets, fresh fruits, fruit salad, mini shots, mini fruit tarts, tiramisu, um ali and a lot more...The dessert buffet was absolutely delicious...we had a lot to choose from...

For the Chocolate fondue they had fruit skewers, sponge cake, dark and white chocolate bites , marshmallows and biscotti...

Overall,

  • Quality, Quantity , Presentation and Taste was excellent

  • The best part about this buffet was that the food was warm throughout ... not cold and flavourless like other buffets

  • Delightful Ambiance - Beautiful interiors

  • Good variety to choose from

  • The staff was friendly and efficient

  • The Iftar Buffet was KD 15.000 per person

  • Ample Parking space

Honestly, I was accompanied with two very picky eaters but they as well agree that it was one of the best buffets we have had...

I know we have been really late in posting the buffet review but I am sure that the À la carte is even more delicious... :)

Costa Coffee - Dar Alghanim

This was sometime back..before Ramadan!! We had a regular Caramellato from Costa Coffee and a sandwich to go.. the sandwich was ok but the coffee was delicious.. (cant remember the price)
We love the Costa branch at Dar Alghanim coz its not very crowded plus there nothing better than a good cup of coffee after a shopping spree ;)
