I received a mail from Carluccio's regarding their Cooking Demo and while posting the AD I decided to register and see it for myself ...since my partner in crime momo was busy with exams I decided to invite one of my all time fav.blogger Chikkapappi :)
To my surprise she jumped into my crazy wagon and brought along another wonderful super talented blogger Jessy from chocolatemintsinajar.
I was excited to finally meet the actually people behind the blog...
It was an early Friday morning (and sleep got the best of me) as usual I was late.. the last one to reach ... :(
The moment we all saw each other and settled down..we instantly clicked!! Chikapappi is just like how I thought she would be...listening to hear speak was like reading her blog "live"!!
Jessy and her daughter was a delight (totally love her)Ghalya is like a baby i would kill to have, not only she is adorable and well behaved but she's a healthy eater..plus no screaming and pulling my hair..hehe!! LOVE HER!! maybe soon I'll have the pleasure to meet Alma :)

Ok back to our cooking demo!! without coffee I am like a zombie so I asked for my coffee and ordered some kickass breakfast!!
I did not want to stare at the menu and take my time to choose since I wanted to chitchat with the girls so i ordered something which was recommended-Colazione Magnifica which includes 3 strips of grilled bacon, sauteed mushrooms, scrambled eggs on toasted Italian Bread and half grilled tomato!!
The bacon was grilled to perfection and the mushrooms were just yummylicious..the scrambled eggs were soft and slightly creamy just the way I like it!!
I could not finish my breakfast since we had to start the cooking demo so I ate the bacon and mushrooms at the speed of lighting ..Jessy did the same :)
NEVER WASTE OR SAY NO TO BACON!! hehe...

Minestrone a la Milanaise , Risotto Con Funghi and Coffee Panna Cotta were the recipes for the day!! :)
Head Chef Mr. Davide was interesting and informative...he had tips and hints for us along the whole process and answered every question we had for him!! plus the accent was a killer..hehe!!(my weird fascination for Chefs..childhood problem)

The first recipe he prepared was the Minestrone a la Milanaise.. At this point Chikapappi was next to the chef stirring the veggies :)
It's as good as it looks... a very healthy recipe and it adds to the list of comfort food for me since i'm a sucker for soups especially during winters...

Next in line was Risotto Con Funghi with 3 types of mushroom.. now risotto is one thing I mess up most of the time so i was determined to find out the cause for it and yes I found it :)

Next was Coffee Panna Cotta!!! Chikapappi almost got an attack with the amount of cream and sugar hehe...its like we are ruining her Diet Centers plan !!

This was absolutely delicious, I finished it within seconds of serving it!!

Woman! Your post rocks! <3 it was nice to finally meet you and Jessy as well and Ghalya is such a well mannered kid mashallah! and you are as lively as I imagined you to be and am sure glad you weren't freaked by my nature ;p
