Naz Restaurant - Bayan

This is our first food review for the year, and our first time to Naz.
We have always read and heard a lot about the food but never tried it …we are glad we did it this year..
Going through the menu we remembered the review from Bazaar and the comment left by ansam518 on q8blackmarket so we ordered their recommendations as well as the once we thought we should try.the term soul food is soo appropriate for Naz!! The menu has good selection of appetizers, soups , stews, salads, grilled meats, seafood, chicken, rice and bread. Among all this there were sandwiches of lamb, beef and chicken.
For desserts we had Persian ice cream faloodeh and Bastani

Our Order:
  • Complimentary: Bread Basket and salad
  • Soup: Ash Joe
  • Meat:
    Bareh Kabeb –e- torsh
    Naz Special Mix
  • Sandwich:
    Kebab-e Joojeh
    Bareh Kebab-e Torshi
  • Desserts: Persian Ice cream
    Faloodeh
    Bastani

We Started off with Bread basket and salad, it was fresh and delicious..
The rocket leaves were assembled all to one direction and topped with 3 slices of fresh fete cheese(which was delish), a sliced tomato and white onion. The flat bread smelled soo good..warm & soft.
I quote my momo here “it’s as soft as a kitten” lol

Followed by soup “Ash joe” which is the ideal comfort food in a bowl for me…I totally loved it!!
a delicious combination of vegetables with tomato, barley and parsley topped with a spoonful of cream and fried onions.

Next came in Naz special Mix grill, Naz fries and sandwich …The Naz special mix was served with a selection of their delicious grilled meat and 3 types of rice , Naz fries were crisp and the sandwich was served with their pickle all of these were nice but the super star of all was the bareh kabeb e torsh which was super yummylicious.

Each time we took a bite of the meat we would go yummmmmm!!! Music in our mouth…
The meat is marinated in leban, pomegranate paste and lemon juice…definitely one of my favorites.
momo was like its witchcraft!! Haha!!

We could not finish the entire meal so we requested them to give us take away.
Last but not the least it was time for dessert!!

we ordered both the desserts on the menu which was faloodeh and bastani.

Faloodeh was frozen made with thin corn starch vermicelli noodles flavored with rose water and lemon syrup.Faloodeh was tasty but it has a brain freeze factor to it…

Our favorite was bastani, its smooth creamy saffron flavored ice cream with pistachios in it.

Overall, we had a delightful yet heavy dinner…

Special thanks to the team of Naz for inviting us for this wonderful dinner and also thanks to Mr.Jacko for giving us company towards the end of our meal.

Last but not the least thanks ya momo!! you always make my day...love the whole strolling around in Bayan co-op and post office..sitting at Mcdonalds (freezing our ass off) and laughing like crazy people.. hehe!! :P

Overall,
  • Quality, Quantity ,Taste and Presentation was very good
  • Delightful ambience
  • Good service – very friendly staff
  • Reasonable pricing (the pricing for our order can be found on the online menu)
