On Valentines day, we initially made plans for Meli Melo just like last year but since they did not have Knet we decided to go to Osaka...
Osaka was packed for the evening.. there were no tables available. Since it was a last minute choice we obviously didn't make any reservations..we decided to wait as we didn't want to get stuck in the traffic..The operation manager was there for the evening..he asked us to sit while he checked for the availability..

Finally after waiting for almost 20 mins we got a table...
Since it was Valentine's day we had candles and rose petals on the table!!
Our Order: 4 persons
- Crab salad(small) : KD 1.750
- Sweet potato tempura: KD 2.000
- Beef Roll : KD 2.000
- Shrimp Gyoza : KD 2.000
- Humba Ura : KD 3.000
- Maki Dream (12pcs) KD 5.000
- Seafood Fried Rice : KD 1.500
- Small Bottle of Water : KD 0.750
- Pepsi (2) KD 1.500

So the whole evening at Osaka had a lot to do with waiting but it was all worth it.. The food was delicious..from the salad to the Maki everything was yummylicious!!
We started off with the Crab Salad (lettuce, cucumber, avocado, cabbage, Carb topped with caviar and mixed with Osaka house dressing) it was light and delicious!!
Next came in the appetizers Sweet Potato tempura(deep fried sliced sweet potato with dipping sauce), beef roll ( beef rolled with spring onion in teriyaki sauce) & Shrimp Gyoza ...

Out of the 3 appetizers ,my favorite was the Beef Roll!!
Next in line was the Dream Maki platter with Humba Ura in it... Loved the Humba Ura absolutely yummylicious.. it actually killed the rest of the maki's on the platter...
As per the menu ,The dream maki platter had 3 pcs of California special, 3 pcs of sensation, 3 pcs of crazy avocado and 3 pcs of Osaka Golden Roll.
Next in line was the Dream Maki platter with Humba Ura in it... Loved the Humba Ura absolutely yummylicious.. it actually killed the rest of the maki's on the platter...

Although less in quantity the seafood fried rice(shrimp,crab,squid,carrots,green bell pepper with egg) was quite delicious!!
Any ways overall:
- Quality, Quantity, Taste & Presentation was good
- Delightful ambiance
- Good variety to choose from
- Friendly staff- although momo didn't think so :)
- Service was initially slow but it picked up the pace once the food arrived
- Reasonable pricing
Thanks to the Operation Manager and staff of Osaka for helping us get a table without reservation on a busy night.
And Special thanks to my Momo my love and her Best friend for this lovely evening and the gift!!
