Why did it take so long to offer free W-Fi in Starbucks when your competitors have been offering it for a long time?
Our customers have been asking us for free WIFI for some time. We’ve been working on a solution that would offer them the best value. With this launch, our customers only have to make a purchase with the Starbucks Card and they can have free Wi-Fi.
What are the benefits of the Starbucks Card for the card user? Why should I get a Starbucks Card?
The Starbucks Card is not just a branded card that gives the user access to free Wi-Fi. The Starbucks Card can also be used as a gift card or a stored value card. If our customers want to surprise friends or family, The Starbucks Card is the perfect gift.
When should we expect to see additional benefits?
We are working on a plan to offer other exclusive benefits to Starbucks Card users. We will communicate them as soon as we have this plan ready.
What is the difference between the Alshaya Card and the Starbucks Card?
The Alshaya Card is a stored value card that you can use in any Alshaya store, restaurant or café. The Starbucks Card can only be used in Starbucks stores and offers our customers exclusive access to free Wi-Fi. It will offer additional exclusive benefits in the future.
Can customers use the Starbucks Card in other countries?
No. The Starbucks Card can only be used in the country of issue that is printed on the card.
Is the Starbucks Card program in Kuwait the same as the US program?
No. The Starbucks Card in Kuwait is issued by M.H Alshaya Co. W.L.L and not by Starbucks Corporation. The Starbucks Card in Kuwait is a stored value card, not the instrument for loyalty program like the Starbucks Rewards Card in the US market.
Why don’t you give the same benefits in the MENA region as they do in the US market?
We are starting by offering free Wi-Fi to all The Starbucks Card users and we are working on adding more benefits to our more frequent customers. These benefits will be aligned with our customers’ feedback and needs.
What other benefits can the Starbucks Card offer?
Very soon we will be adding exclusive benefits for those Starbucks Card users that register their details with their card number with our Customer Care Department on 1821212.
